Local 5k benefits Ridgeview

Oak Ridge, TN – The Oak Ridge Fall Classic 5K Run / Walk will be held on Saturday, November 5. The event will start and finish in the historic Jackson Square area and will utilize the sanctioned Oak Ridge Recreation and Parks’ Jackson Square route, which can be viewed at http://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/view/1330613092. Modest road closures will be handled by Oak Ridge Police Department between 8 and 9 a.m.

All proceeds will benefit programming at Ridgeview Behavioral Health Services, located at 240 W. Tyrone Road in Oak Ridge. “We’re delighted to bring this family friendly event to the Oak Ridge community,” said CEO, Brian Buuck, “We’re grateful for our sponsors that see a benefit in supporting activities that increase awareness and promote overall health & well-being.”

Registration for the event is located at the agency’s web-site: www.ridgeview.com. Registration is $20 until 10/28, $30 thereafter. All pre-registered participants are guaranteed a colorful, long-sleeve athletic wear t-shirt. Participants and guests are encouraged to visit the businesses in Jackson Square and the Farmer’s Market following the event.
